Our Nurses are so thankful to M.R.T. Jewelers, and the community for acts of kindness!
M.R.T. Jewelers generously donated 225 Sterling Silver inspirational bracelets to the critical care and emergency nurses of The Miriam Hospital, in honor of Nurses Month. The bracelets are engraved with the message “91 is greater than 19.” It refers to Psalm 91 that reads, "No harm shall overcome you," and 19 for the COVID crisis. M.R.T. Jewelers hopes “…these bracelets will serve as a lasting reminder of our appreciation for their bravery and sacrifice, not only during this week or this crisis, but for many years to come.”

Emergency Care During the Coronavirus Pandemic
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen an approximate 30 to 40 percent decrease in emergency department visits across the Lifespan health system. Recommendations for seeking care in the emergency department are not significantly different during a pandemic as compared to normal operations, with the exception of recognizing signs/symptoms related to COVID-19. We are equipped to care for both COVID-19 patients and non-COVID-19 patients and do so for both safely.
