2023 Heroes Ball Is a Spectacular Success

The spirit of giving and ohana (family) filled the air as 600 attendees gathered for a tropical, Hawaiian-themed Hasbro Children’s Hospital Heroes Ball on the grounds of Rocky Hill Country Day School in East Greenwich. The annual event, held on August 19, 2023, was chaired by Melisa Verrecchia and co-chaired by Denise Chakoian and Keith and Lynne Kelly and raised $1,137,450 to support the hospital’s mission. Of the total raised, $293,350 benefited the evening’s fund-a-need for the hospital’s nationally renowned medical psychiatric program.

Medical Psychiatric Program Changes Patients' Lives

Gabby began to experience chronic pain, headaches, and stiffness of her joints. She was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder, a medical condition where patients experience real neurologic symptoms that can be impairing, but not caused by any identifiable medical condition.

Hasbro Children’s Golf Tournament Surpasses Goal,
Raises $402,000

A flight of 30 foursomes at Rhode Island Country club swung into action on July 24 to raise $402,000 for Hasbro Children’s Hospital, which exceeded the goal of $325,000! Once again co-chaired by the amazing duo of Larry Aubin and Jamo Carr, this annual event has raised over $5 million since its inception in 1996.

Hasbro Children’s Hospital Announces 2022 ‘Brite Lites’

Hospital Employees Honored for Exemplary Care
Hasbro Children’s Hospital announced its 2022 Brite Lite award winners at a gathering held in June, in the hospital’s Balise Healing Garden. Recipients are Lifespan employees who are nominated by Hasbro Children’s Hospital patients and their families for the dedication and compassion shown to children under their care.

Iced Coffee Day Raises $105,000
for Hasbro Children’s Hospital

Thank you to our partners at Dunkin' and Dunkin' Joy In Childhood Foundation for your continued support! In early July, a check with Iced Coffee Day proceeds was presented to Hasbro Children’s Hospital at a WaterFire Providence event. Thanks to everyone who participated in Iced Coffee Day, we raised $105,000 for our hospital and its programs. Thank you, Dunkin’ and The Joy in Childhood Foundation!
