Radiothon Rocks the Airwaves
in Support of Hasbro Children’s

This year’s Hasbro Children’s Hospital Radiothon, hosted in partnership with Cumulus Media Providence radio stations on May 11, 2023, raised $283,995 to support the hospital’s pediatric patient care, research, and programs.

The community came together in an impressive display of generosity in response to the stories of hope and healing shared on 92 PRO-FM, Lite 105 FM, 630WPRO and HOT 106 during the twelve-hour broadcast.

Live on the air, patient families — including the hospital’s 2023 Champion Child, Ethan James, and his parents — spoke movingly about their medical journeys with conditions including sickle cell disease, pediatric cancer, and developmental disabilities. They emphasized the compassionate, cutting-edge care they received from Hasbro Children’s caregivers and staff.

The success of this year’s Radiothon would not have been possible without the many generous supporters who called in to make donations or those who volunteered to answer phones in the temporary phone bank set up in the Rhode Island Hospital cafeteria.

Donations support Hasbro Children’s ability to provide the region’s children and their families with the best care possible. Over the years, the funds have helped to purchase medical equipment and support programs that rely heavily on philanthropy, including Healing Arts and Child Life. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $9.5 million.

Thank you to the many sponsors and supporters of the 2023 Radiothon. We couldn’t have done it without Cumulus Media Providence, Jordan’s Furniture, Alexander’s Uniforms, Dunkin’, Providence Auto Body, David D. Schuller, Shaw’s Supermarket, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, Nathan Clark & Associates, Walmart, Marshall Building & Remodeling, Pepsi Beverage Company, Cox Business, and many others.
