In recent years, the pediatric mental health crisis has had a profound impact on our patients at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Our Division of Integrated Care has established itself as a leader in the treatment of children with coexisting psychiatric and medical illnesses. Many children stay weeks and even months in our inpatient and partial hospital programs because there are no outpatient services available for referral. Monies raised through this year’s fund-a-need will help us create a medical psychiatric outpatient practice to ensure that, once discharged, every child has excellent resources for ongoing care and support at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
