Despite a month marked with rain and unsettled weather, the sun was out in full force on Monday, July 26, as a full flight of golfers hit the links at Rhode Island Country Club for the 25th anniversary of the Hasbro Children’s Golf Invitational. Under a bright sun, the event raised a record-breaking $433,000, bringing its total since inception to nearly $6 million in support of programs such as the Aubin Child Protection Center, Child Life, and many other services critical to the care of patients and their families. Of the total raised, $66,000 was generated during a special fund-a-need to support renovations in the hospital’s pediatric hematology/oncology center.
