Miriam Hospital Colorectal Screenings

The Miriam Hospital provides free colon cancer screenings to those in need

On Thursday, March 7, Rhode Island legislature recognized March as Colon Cancer Awareness Month for the third year in a row. The Miriam Hospital is doing its part to not only bring awareness of this type of cancer to the community, but to directly provide screenings to those in need. During the month of March, the gastroenterology team at The Miriam partnered with the Rhode Island Department of Health to provide free colorectal cancer screenings to high risk, uninsured, or underinsured residents.
